It is a remake of the original Star Fox, and published the first game in the Star Fox series on the Nintendo 64. It was made availablefor download on the Wii Virtual Console on second April 2007 in North America, 17 April 2007 in Japan and to 20 April 2007 in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The planned second game in the series for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Star Fox 2 was due to the imminent release of the Nintendo 64, but some of its features were in Star Fox 64 as all range mode used. It was the first game to introduce support for the Rumble Pak, which it first came bundled with. TheGame received positive ratings from reviewers and critics, its smooth animation, detailed graphics, voice and use multiple paths praised gameplay.
